The Titans visit Istanbul & Bursa: Turkey 2015

The Travelling Classroom’s destination this year was Turkey, an interesting journey for the Titans to a country that straddles Europe and Asia, both in geography and in culture.

The Southshore Travelling Classroom 2015 journeyed to Turkey this December for a fun-filled adventure, sightseeing and cold weather! A group of 35 students, accompanied by school staff visited Istanbul & Bursa, experiencing a variety of sights, history, shopping and food.

The Titans visited the Grand Bazaar, Roman Hippodrome Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Basilican Cistern; cruised the Bosphorus; explored the Princess Islands; rocked some ATV’s and much more as they spent 4 days in Istanbul. During their 2 day stay in Bursa, they visited Ulu Cami (Green Mosque), Covered and Silk Bazaars and reached great heights with a cable car tour of the Uludag mountain (2543 meters).

This was a trip that will be fondly remembered by all the Titans (and they have loads of souvenirs and selfies to reminisce with!).
