History

Southshore was founded in 2004 as a joint venture between three leading educational institutions. Each of the founding schools contributed its own distinct element to create an institution with a unique character and mission.

Bay View Academy

Bay View Academy is a private, coeducational school serving students from pre-school to O-Levels. Founded in 1990, Bay View is a college preparatory school that offers a state-of-the-art campus with two computer labs, libraries and multipurpose science laboratories. The school offers a range of extracurricular activities, with an emphasis on sports, drama and debate. Local, national and international field trips at different grade levels facilitate the holistic growth of its students.

The C.A.S. School

Founded in 1981, The C.A.S. School offers a 14-year programme, from playgroup to O-Levels. The school looks at objectives of schooling beyond good grades and narrow academic pursuits and emphasizes involving students outside the classroom in community development programmes and intellectual pursuits. It offers seminars, foreign languages, learning modules and teaching internships.

Froebel Education Centre

Froebel Education Centre was founded in 1982 on the principles established by the German educationalist and philosopher Friedrich Froebel. It has steadily grown into a recognized educational institution that offers classes from Nursery to O-Levels. The school is set in spacious grounds in DHA Phase 8, housing two independent libraries, art and craft rooms, auditoriums, and computer and science laboratories for each of the different levels. F.E.C. provides an atmosphere that challenges young minds and encourages students to develop their strengths and life-skills.
